There are times when you want to back up your projects—just in case you want to feel safe. We know it’s always better to take precautions, and saving projects locally will save you tons!
In this article, we will tell you how to save your projects locally to your device, which you can import back to Assemblr Studio—just in case you lose it.
First off, you need to download your projects first to your device. You can do it both on the Editor or from the “Your Projects” page.
If you do it on the Editor, click the three-dot button on the top middle of the layout. Then, click “Save local copy”.
As for the “Your Projects” page, you can simply click the project that you want to save. After that, choose “Download”.
Once the files are downloaded, they will be saved in PBL formats. The files will include all your project details like the data of 3D objects, project coordinates, and Interactivity actions that you use in your project.
When you lose your projects, you don’t lose the files; you lose all the details. Unless you delete the project by yourself, your project files will remain the same.
But if you have saved your projects locally, you can import them back to Assemblr Studio!
To import back, you need to find the project matching your file first. Open the project on the Editor, and on the three-dot button, choose “Import local copy”.
Then, click the file that you want to import, and you’re done!
If you see those boxes, they could be custom 3D objects, images, or videos that you upload on your own.
To retrieve them to their original state, you need to re-upload the 3D objects. Those boxes will be gone once you replace them!
