Introducing Web AR: Your Simplest Way to Enjoy AR Experiences

When you thought there’s no easier way for you to view AR experiences, we’ve made it for you. Here comes our latest feature, Assemblr’s Web AR!

Prior to the release, you can only view your AR right on our mobile app. But with this web AR, it adds another option for you to experience AR directly on the browser—without having to use any apps. It really simplifies and fastens up your AR viewing experience.

In 2021, we’ve actually launched the Assemblr Web Player, which allows you to view your projects limited to 3D experiences. This is actually an extended version of the web player itself.

To get access to the Web AR, it’s actually not complicated at all. In fact, it’s fairly simple since you only need your project link.

Simply head to the project link, and you’ll be directed right to your device’s browser. After that, you’re gonna see 3 different viewing options that can be set by the owner of the project:

1. View in 3D: View the 3D experience of the project
2. Scan Marker: Pop up the AR experience above the QR or custom AR marker
3. Place It in Your Room: Place the AR experience around your real environment. Currently available for Android devices supported by ARCore.
